One such button is 0. As you can see I am unable to call many people because of this and can not get the operator due to the zero being brokrn. My question is is there any other way to get in touch with the operator. This is a landphone by the way.

  1. Buy a new phone.

  2. There is in Canada, international directory. I don't know what country you are in so I won't give you that number.

  3. buy a new phone. If you do not want to then  go to a phone store and tell them to fix it.

  4. Get a new phone or for my state we call 4 and ask for whoever if we can't find number or place. Best of Luck.

  5. I think it is best to buy a new phone as soon as possible. You won't be able to get in touch with the operator unless you get that fixed or buy a new phone. Try 411, they may help you. I hope you find away.

  6. I would buy a new phone. But if you dont feel like buying a new phone you can also try dialing 611 and get to customer service as well.

  7. you will need to be getting a new phone, but if you had a pocket dialer, which were popular in the 80's i guess (because they used to be able to be hacked to make free calls from payphones, but not any more)

if they are still for sale, you can find them at radio shack.

just as good as a pocket dialer is to find the DMTF tones in an audio file online, or record them your self, and play them back thru the mic of the phone.

if it is a corded phone, and you are good, you could switch hook dial.. this is very difficult, and will almost always result in a wrong number...

try setting your phone from tone to pulse, sometimes you may still be able to dial with one but not the other (will not work if you are using VoIP)

  8. Get a new one it may be broken.

  9. i dont think that the operater will be able to help you in this case sounds like you just need a new phone i actually just tried to call the operater and spoke with 2 different people including help desk she said the 0 button on your phone is the only way you can contact them sorry

  10. Land line phones are so inexpensive, just run out and get a new one. BUT, if you are like me--- I would be compelled to take it apart and see what was holding the "0" up. It could just be some debris stuck under the pad.
