Breast cancer if it were to form grows within the breast tissue in most cases. The breast tissue is over the Pectoral muscle. This is one of the reasons most plastic surgeons place breast implants "under the muscle" to get the implants out of the way and make mammograms more "do-able." Good luck with your surgery.
