Some crisps sellers claim that they fry potato crisps in small batch. Whats the difference?

  1. I assume it has to do with the fact that more food in the fryer tends to lower the temp of the oil. When the oil is not hot enough, the food soaks up more grease before it is cooked. So, hotter oil = less oily chips.  


  2. Possibly because if you load a fryer then the oil can't circulate around every single inch of each chip evenly, so they would be fried unevenly.

  3. All have a point here in Canada they do the same, the chips or crisps as you called them are less greasy, tend to be crunchier and are usually fried in a groundnut or peanut oil for a different flavour.

    They can be more expensive, we get Walker here also, I have had many kind, I like the Worchester Sauce flavour, and waiting to try Prawn Cocktial.
