Question:

Some flexibility help please!?

im a ballet dancer and im pretty flexible throught my legs like i have all of my splits and everythign but i really want to make my back more flexible to help my arabesque line.. my back it NOT flexible at all and i dont know any streches to help me improve that.. thanks :D (im 15 btw so im still pretty limber)

  1. Ever heard of the bend you can do called the bridge?? We used to do that in dance for our backs. Also Balance on one foot then put the other leg backwards and touch your head. Just keep doing this all the time and you'll perfect your something line. Good luck!


  2. okay i got some back stretchs im a ballerina too.

    first try doing back bends and getting up from them too

    then lay on ur stomach and do the seal thing when ur head touchs ur toes and try to get ur feen on the ground

    then still lay on ur stomach and put ur arms out to the side

    bring ur left let to touch ur right hand and vice versa.

    thats all i know hope that help

    oh and like twist to the right standing up and grab your left thigh

    and stand up and try to do the scorpio yoga thing lol

  3. do backbends! once you are in a backbend, walk your hands and feet together until it is fairly uncomfortable. you should feel the stretch, but you shouldn't be in unbearable pain. also, lay on your back and swing your legs over your front side so that your toes touch the floor behind you [your legs should be straight]. by doing these, you will be using  back muscles and gain flexibility.
