  1. Hi...i live in TJ hope i can help....

Drive to Los Angeles and take Highway 10 to Tucson and from there the Highway 18 will get you to the Nogales border. (i prefer that way, because you drive less in the mexican part of California to the East)

Fron there is mi country, so it will be a piece of cake......continue South and you will pass citys like Hermosillo, (state capitol of Sonora), Guaymas, Ciudad Obregón, Navojoa, Los Mochis, Guamuychil, Culiacán (state capitol of Sinaloa), Mazatlán, Tepic (satte capitol of Nayarit) and Guadalajara (state capitol of Jalisco).

The trip from the border to Guadalajara its about 26-30 hours non stop.

But Hermosillo, Culiacán, Mazatlán and Tepic are big citys where you can stay the night at the hotels.

You will need about 80-100 dollars for road tolls to get to Guadalajara in the mexican side of your trip.

Te mexican hgwy its a two lane 65 mph limit road.

  2. See mapsite below for great info.  I have also given you the websites for my fav. Mexican car insurance and a site with info about the car permit.
