I know you need two witnesses to a marriage. I also know they need to be legally 'of age'. But are there any relations that are excluded from being witnesses at a wedding?

  1. NO, you can choose any two people over the age of 16

  2. Yes and No, our daughter (10 at the time) and my mother were our witnesses.

  3. Anyone may be a witness, and even a minor may do this - I was best man for my mother and step father, and was under 18.

  4. my hubby and i had my dad and his mum as witnesses, we wanted all our parents involved and my mum gave me away and my father-in-law done a reading.

  5. You can have whoever you like as long as they're over the age of 16.
