Looking to get a golf cart to trick out but I'm not really to sure which brand to get. I would like a gas powered one not electric. Also I will be using it in Ohio not near salt water. Any opinions on which is best and why? Thanks.

  1. I work for a company that does what you are looking to do with your cart. I would go with Yamaha. They are nice carts and seem to be a little beefier. Most of the gas carts we do are Yamaha's. The parts availablilty is also great on these. Try to get a G-14 or higher, as they are good, easy carts to work on. Good Luck!

  2. Hey bud,  I have had only two, both were EZGO's, and both were great.  My first was electric and second gas powered, you are definitly doing good for yourself to get gas, the electric was a pain in the but because the batteries need replacing all the time, and the charge constantly broke.

For tricking out.......there are so many options for either of them, I do not think you would have to worry.  I tricked my gas powered one out for my college,  its all UGA bulldawged up, coustom paint and a schok kit / nobbys on it.  It has given me no problem.

With you not being near salt, I they the choice between EZGO and ClubCar is just up to what you like.  They are both good.  My best friend has a club car,  I like his to, but it is no better than mine, and mine is no better than his.  We both bring them up to Athens during the football season and ride them all weekend long......no problems from either.

Stick with one of those two brands and you'll be happy, and you will have forever options for both.

  3. Yamaha for sure
