  1. I would get involved in pony club and go to their camp next year. It was only like 200 dollars and is divided by region. If you livein NC or SC the camp was held at FENCE in Tryon NC this year. It is very safe with EXCELLENT trainers. It is eventing though. The dressage is non-negotiable but the last day you can go X-country or dressage. You choose. Every jumping horse can benefit from good dressage though. I learned sooo much in those four days. The trainers were really nice and you could trust their judgment. A couple times I was asked to do things that I was like "ummm...are you nuts!?!". The 2 foot bank (I really dont like banks) and going through a gymnastic without reins or stirrups with your eyes shut were two memorable moment. But I was able to trust the trainer and be like "OK they think I can do it. I'll try it" You could sleep in a tent, spare stall, or get a hotel about 10 minutes away. I loved the camp because you rode twice a day, C-1s and up did switch rides and they were not after you to go to the activities (offered inbetween ride times). They had arts and crafts where you made stall cards and tyedied a shirt. I skipped those and hung out with my horse. They also have vets, farriers, chiropractors and loads of other knowledgable people come in to give short infomative lectures. The camp was not overun by nasty bratty 10 year olds either. They cant handle pony club teaching (basicly they dont get why they have to take care of their own horses) so all the little kids are very knowledgable and responsible. The camp also tried to get a polocross clinic but failed to get enough nets so maybe next year! The only thing I disliked was the food. But camp food is never amazing and there is a subway your parents can drive to like 5 minutes away. O and you have to have a chaperon while at camp. They dont have to be with you all day, just in the area and one chaperon can be incharge of multiple kids. You do need to be an active member of pony club and going to camp with an inaccurate rating is no fun either. That is the only sleep away camp I have been to that was solidly horses. 2. SADDLEWOOD!!

it is honestly the best camp you can go to!

it is completely safe, you go for 2 weeks and you do jumping cross-country and hacking!! if you dont want to use your horse for cross-country or something you are free to use one of there horses. it is an all girls camp and they also have great weekend camps during the year. you ride twice a day and they take amazing care of all of there horses. you have to check it out! you make so many new friends and people come from all over the world to this camp. it is all english riding and there is just so much to do there it is such an amazing experience! it is in ontario in bethany i dont know where you are from but even if it is to far to bring your horse i really suggest coming anyway they have tons of horses there and they are very flexible so if you dont like the horse you are on they will find you a different horse!

go to www.saddlewood.com and check it out!
