Some good "lonely" photography?

Question

This is probably a weird question, but I'm looking for photography that gives off a vibe of loneliness. And by that I mean, a picture that you look at and actually feel lonely, as if you were actually there, in the place wherever the picture was taken.

Good examples of "lonely photography" would include deserted or desolate places, or "beaches/lakes at night" pics, like this one: http://i38.tinypic.com/2cnwqwp.jpg

So can anybody recommend anything?

try looking at documentary photography.. at time the reality sets in and is often a lonely feeling in some of the work.
