Some good running music?

Question

I've been looking for some good running music, looking at other resolved running music questions, but they all say listen to rap. I hate rap music! (Retards Attempting Poetry) I usually listen to classic rock, alternative rock, or punk rock. Can anybody recommend some music?

ok what works for me is to find music (that i like of course) that has a good beat or an encouraging song or somethin that makes you want 2 run. kinda like eye of the tiger. you no some music 2 get yo pumped

Listening to "Danger Is Go" by Powerman 5000 is my favorite song to listen to (or even just replay in my head) while running, but here other good ones that I have found helpful:

Another thing:

It's a good idea to pace your strides and your breaths off of a song's beat, so try to find one with a distinctive beat at a tempo that works best for you.

I love girl-fronted bands with a punk vibe: the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and the Gossip are my faves among current bands.  I also enjoy PJ Harvey, X-Ray Specs, Hole, Blondie, and so forth.

(don't love your definition of rap music so much: rather offensive actually)
