Some help with my french?

When your in a clothing shop in france and want to try something on in the dressing room, how do you tell them that?

I was there last summer and it was pretty embarassing because they had no idea what I was talking about.

P.S. I'm in french in school, so I do speak a little french.

  1. you point at whatever you want to try on and say "puis-je l'essayer?' (may i try it on) and they will show you a cabin!

    "Pourrais-je essayer ces habits?" (Could I try these clothes?)

    "Auriez-vous une cabine d'essayage? (Would you have a dressing room? -> The 'Can I use it' is implied)

  5. I am going into 9th grade and I've been taking French since Kindergarden! It is a class for me everyday so I do know alot of French!  

    To say where are the fitting rooms you say:

    "Ou sont les cabines d'essayage?"

    To say can I try these clothes on you say:

    "Puis-je essayer ces vetements?"

    And the salesman should reply : Oui bien sûr, les cabines sont par là.
