  1. IT is a scam!!! I just had a same thing , it took me 2 days to figure out how to remove this virus.

They downloaded many trojans horses and now they want you to buy their software to remove it, ITs a scam!!

Here is how I get rid of it:

    1. Disable system restore - Go to control panal > System > System restore tab and check the box that says “Turn off system restore on all drivers” then restart your pc and tap F8 during startup several times so you can start in safe mode.

    2. Run AVG (you can get a free version off internet)and delete any viruses it detects.

    3. Restart your pc and uncheck the “Turn off system restore on all drivers” Box.

Doing that deletes your system restore files in case the virus is hidden there.

Check to make sure you can change your screensaver and backgrounds for some reason, it disabled those for me. If they’re still disabled after you did the above then Google ''dial-a-fix''. It’s a free program that allowed me to enable the display tabs (Option called policies).

  2. AntiVirus 2008 is a latest rogue from authors of XP Antivirus , XP Cleaner  and other well-known malware. AntiVirus 2008 uses stealth installation and almost impossible to remove manually. This malicious software give exaggarated reports about security risks, spyware infections, privacy violations using alert baloons, error messages and browser hijackings. The purpouse of this strategy is to force users into purchasing the full version of the program. If your computer is already have AntiVirus 2008, most probably it was installed by trojan horse (Zlob, Vundo). This malware can steal your peronal data, using security backdoors, it also may seriously damage your computer. It’s highly recommended you use an automatic AntiVirus 2008 remover to get rid of this nasty application

  3. Unfortunately there is no single tool that can remove every infection. You need to analyze your system first, and then have someone create a regimen of manual fixes for your system.  This can take a good chunk of time since most users never just have 1 infection, but multiple hidden infections.

We just helped another user clean this specific infection.

Someone within our team would be glad to help and walk you through the steps.
