  1. The best places we saw when we were there...

    1.  Westminster Abbey

    2.  The Tower of London

    3.  London Eye

Also, make sure to get a picture of yourself and your travel mates in front of Tower Bridge.  It's a great opportunity to show get a picture you can frame or keep as a reminder.  The Thames boat tour gives the opportunity to get right in front of it.

There are a lot of great places to see in London.  What type of things are you interested in?  History, art, big tourist spots...?

  5. The London Eye is great

Also, we really enjoyed the Cabinet War Rooms, it is absolutely fascinating and not really like a museum. It is probably the best thing I've done in London, attraction wise.

Tower Bridge is realyl good fun. It's interesting to visit and also the views are great.

The Greenwich Observatory is good as well.

  6. the Crown Jewels in the Tower of London, followed by a visit to St Catherine's Dock just over the road

the Banqueting House on Whitehall (in between Westminster Abbey/Houses of Parliament at one end of Whitehall to Trafalgar Square at the other end)

St Pauls Cathedral, then climb up dome, right to the very top

    HMS Belfast on the Thames

Tate Modern ... get to it via the Millennium Bridge, a pedestrian bridge near to St Paul's

river cruise from Westminster pier to Greenwich

eat a curry in Brick Lane

visit either Leadenhall Market in the City or Borough Market in Southwark

a strolll along the side of the Thames from Westminster Bridge, past the Aquarium, London Eye, South Bank, the book market, to Gabriel's Wharf then have a break at one of the many cafes

  7. Go on one of the sight seeing buses (Very cheap) Write down all the interesting things the guide tells you and visit these places on foot on a Sunday morning when the streets are quiet.

  8. We really liked the British Museum and the Natural History Museum, the Bromptom Oratory, the big park just outside Buckingham Palace, the Aquarium, London Tower and London Bridge. We didn't like the London Eye and wouldn't go on it again. Have fun!! Ride the tube a lot!
