Why is it called a "building" when it is already built?

Why is it called lipstick if you can still move your lips?

  1. BUILDING -WELL U CAN BUILD IT MORE EVEN AFTER IT WAS BUILT ,U CAN ADD MORE FLOORS ETC.

  3. I think that when the first building was made, they had not made enough advances in language and words and their past-tenses.

    It is not LIP-stick, it is LIPS-tick.

  4. Building = when used as noun it means a house.

    Lipstick = stick here doesn't mean to glue lips, the whole piece is called lipstick like we call 'a stick of cigarette'.

  6. A building is never completely built, it keeps on needing painting, crack filling, plaster, leak filling etc. throughout its life.

    A lipstick sticks to the lips but it does not promise to seal the lips, hence u can move the lips. I am still looking for a lipstick or a lipseal for my gf, to seal her lips.
