  1. Taglit/birthright, is a 10 day trip to Israel for Jews between the ages of 18 and 26 and it's completely free.

Call them up, see if they know anything about other programs for younger people.

  2. Hi,

There's a project called Taglit (DIscovery) that brings young people to Israel. I suggest you look it up.

    Good luck!

  3. yeah, theres a program called taglit and during the trip the will encourage aliyah, shove the israeli right wing ideology down your throat and you'll come back hating palestinians and arabs in general.

also, they push you to date other jews only.

  4. You are an Israeli living in California?  Did I get that right?  Your best bet would be to contact Hadassah (for Young Judea) the nearest shul (for youth groups) or the nearest JCC (for general socializing and camps).  Camps can actually be found through any of those, but you might need to be a member of one of those to go to their camp, and it's a better experience, since you know more people that way.

Shul youth groups...NFTY  (I believe CAFTY is the regional name) is Reform, USY is Conservative, and I can´t remember what NCSY stands for, and if it´s affilitated with a denomination or not...There´s also BBYO.

For any of the major organizations, just go to a phone book.

  5. I've been on three different summer programs, in Israel, that cater to Israelis, Americans, and Israeli/Americans -

    1. Camp Tapuz: http://www.travel4teens.com/faq-tapuz.as...

    2. Hetz Vakeshet - here's the website in hebrew: http://www.hetzvakeshet.org/site/form/Sh...

    3. Chevra Lehaganat Hateva - a nature-oriented adventure program  http://www.aspni.org/aspni_teens.html

Keshet is another program that has an educational component: http://www.keshetisrael.co.il/youth.htm

And on the East Coast, BBYO is very well known: http://bbyo.org/article.php?id=603&gclid...

Each has a different focus, but all are very established and bring in teens from all over the world.
