Some like a swarm of bees flew at me?

OK: here's the story:

I was working in a field hoeing and the ground looked like it would if it were 1500 feet away and humid out, where it's all wavy and blurred. So I look up and there's this swarm of bugs in the air making shadows on the ground. Even though they were five feet off the ground they still mada i good sized shadow, that's how big they were.

They looked a lot like bees but more orange. What kind of bug is that?

thats a trip rite ther. its like the bees around drilling perfectly circular holes into the rock hard ground. thats strange maybde some kind of large mousquito or wasp

Hornets, they are more orange and much larger than bees.

it could have been bees. a lot are orange and because of the black it makes it look more orange then yellow. it could have also been wasps.
