The number of bacteria in a refrigerated food product is given by N(T) = 30 T2 − 129 T 40, 4 < T < 34 where T is the temperature of the food.

When the food is removed from the refrigerator, the temperature is given by T(t) = 5 t 1.6 , where t is the time in hours.

Find the composite function N(T(t)):

Find the time when the bacteria count reaches 30193

  1. This is more of a pure mathematics problem, and I would suggest re-posting it in this category:

    Science & Mathematics > Mathematics

However... you need to re-state the functions so they are understandable. Even I could solve it if I knew which numbers were exponents and which were multipliers. Use the ^ character for exponents (i.e. T^2 = T squared) and use the * character for multiplication (those are pretty standard notations).

If you edit your answer and Add Additional Details, you can re-state the formulas. Whether you re-post the question or Add Additional details -- you still have to re-write the functions.

Then... someone can solve them for you (even me).
