I'm 23 weeks and realllly trying to narrow the names down.

Allison Rose Carper (not really my last name, but close)

Allison Jane Carper

Katherine Rose Carper

Rose Athena Carper

Clara Rose Carper

What's your favorite? Any combination suggestions? Thanks for your time.

Rose Athena Carper (would prefer that as Athena Rose though)

Clara Rose Carper (Very pretty, I think Claira Rose would sound lovely too though)

well im not crazy about any of those selections, but if i had to choose....i would say     Athena Jane Carper. It is more unique.

Beautiful names!  I actually have Clara, Katherine, Athena, and Rose on my list as well.

My favorite of your combinations is Rose Athena.  I like that you've put Rose in the first name slot... it's becoming a very common middle name, but it's hardly ever used as a first name.  Since Rose is a safe, familiar choice, the much more daring Athena provides a great complement to it.

My favorite of your first names, though, would have to be Clara.  (It's the name my husband and I are planning for our first daughter.)  I don't think Rose flows with it very well, though, since Clara Rose has repeated R sounds so close together.  I like something like Clara Juliet, Clara Anneliese, Clara Madeleine, Clara Maeve, or Clara Eve.  If you don't like those suggestions, consider finding another one-syllable middle name you like that doesn't start with an R; Clara Jane would work, since Jane is on your list as well.  

Katherine and Allison are both lovely classics, but they're much more common than Rose and Clara, so I'd probably avoid them.  That being said, I've been head-over-heels in love with the name Katherine since I was about 7 years old, so if you feel that way about either Allison or Katherine, it would be perfectly fine for you to use one of those.  If you aren't strongly in love with one of them, though, I'd encourage you to go for one of the less common options.

Another thing to consider:  Does your last name start with C?  If it does, consider whether or not you like alliterative names (like Clara Carter or Katherine Carter) or whether you prefer names that start with different sounds (like Rose Carter or Allison Carter).  I personally prefer names that do not alliterate, though I still would use a name that starts with G (my last name is similar to Grey) if I were in love with it.  I'm considering using Gideon Grey, even though I don't find the double G's quite ideal.

Clara Rose Carper-How would you Pronounce it?? Ciara being [see*ah*rah] or [see*air*ah]? I like the second pronounciation better and spelled Sierra. Ciara is pretty too it just reminds me of the pop singer Ciara, but i dont think thats a real reason to drop it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the name Rose. I wish my fiance did too...i love it and he doesnt so he wont agree to name our baby rose:( im bummed. COngratulations to you!
