Some more tricks?

I've been teaching my pony some tricks recently, and he's really gotten the hang of them. He learns fast and seems to really enjoy them. Now I was wondering what other tricks I can teach him-I can't think of any more. Here are the things that he already knows

1. Paint

2. Shake "hands" with both front feet

3. Bow

4. Kiss

5. Hug

I'm planning on teaching him to play soccer, but I can't find our ball pump to pump his huge ball, so that plan's on hold for the moment. I'd also like to teach him to play Frisbee, so if anyone has any suggestions on that, that be great too. Thanks!

  1. My horse does tricks too and he is so cute when he does them. Teach him to count. when you say 1,2,3,4... he should paw one of his front hooves. Ask him to shake and when he picks his foot up shake it and when you put it down say 1, then repeat with 2, 3, and 4. eventually he should just paw when you count. Also when you are on him you should teach him "lift". when  you say lift, he should pick uo his right front foot.  Also you should teach him to lie down it is so cute and could come him handy someday. ask him to bow and when he picks up his front leg tie it up with something. then go to his other leg and ask him to bow, he should lay down. some horses will and some wont. ONLY DO THIS IF HE IS VERY CALM, IF YOU HAVE A FREAKY HORSE DO NOT TRY THIS.

another trick that i do with my other horse is to dismount i get behind the saddle and slide down his butt, but again i would not suggest doing this unless your horse is dead broke, he might spook even if you dont think he well.

  2. How about shaking his head yes and no? Twirling a lasso? "Counting" by pawing the ground?

    How does he hug?

  3. Wow your pony sounds really sweet! I don't have any ideas for tricks, but I wanted to warn you about teaching your pony to rear. Do not try to because once you feed it treats or reward it for rearing, then it will assume that it can rear whenever it wants which can be very dangerous. Only attempt this trick if you are a professional or if you are having help from a professional.

  4. How about teaching him to do the Spanish walk? It should be easy since he already knows how to shake hands;) Have you got him to do a lot with his mouth yet? Like picking stuff up and giving it to you? That would help with Frisbee! Good luck, and Have Fun!
