  1. No, it's not real.  Typically they're going to ask you to cash the check and send them a few hundred for "expenses."  The check will bounce and you'll be stuck paying the whole thing.  Another possibility is that they'll tell you that you can only spend the check at a certain website or store -- they'll ask you to enter personal information like Social Security # or a credit card for "verification."

    Whatever the details, it's a scam.  Check out the company with the Better Business Bureau if you want, but it'll be easier in the long run to shred the check and forget about it.

Wouldn't trust it....most of us have gotten one at one time or another...they are going to ask for a lot of info to cash the check or there will be stipulations to cash the check.. or you'll have to buy products that will require you to do so and so...it's best to shred the check!!!  Sorry, but things like that don't just drop into your lap!!!

  3. Is it bulk mail? Maybe we all will get one.
