  1. Not necessarily. <<<what are u talking about angel?

if the yellowing is due to nutrient problems, then where the yellow leaves are can tell u what problem it is. like if it is at the top. or bottom. or if it is yellow between the leaf veins/or not.

  2. Not necessarily.

Older leaves, especially those at the bottom of plants, naturally turn from green to yellow then brown, to allow newer growth on the plant to get full access to nutrients. You can remove the yellow leaves.

Make sure your plants have good drainage & that they are getting enough water, but not too much. Poor drainage, &/or too much water can choke roots & can cause leaf yellowing.

Also if it's too dry & water is needed and not available, a plant can not retain all its leaves & they'll turn yellow & fall off.

Sudden unexpected cold or ongoing excess heat can cause the plant's leaves to turn yellow. If you move a plant to a new location, you might see leaf yellowing.

Too much salts from fertilizer can cause leaves to turn yellow, but so can nutrient deficiencies

Since nitrogen is a vital component of chlorophyll, inadequate levels of this element will make leaves turn yellow.

Lack of iron, potassium, & zinc can also turn leaves yellow.

Sucking insects such as aphids, mealybugs and scale can remove nutrient laden sap from the plants restricting their ability to make more chlorophyll...causing leaves to yellow.

If your plants have become shaded by other plants or by branches higher up on the same plant, leaves can yellow.

It's important to check out all possibilities & make sure that all your plants environmental & nutritional needs are met, plus check for pest.

Since the other leaves on your plant are a dark green & if the leaves that are yellowing are older ones at the bottom of the plant, your plant may just be going through it's natural cycle of getting rid of older leaves to make way for the new ones.

    P.S.

I have listed several things that should be checked that could cause yellowing of leaves... such as a nutrient deficiency... or pests... or negative environmental conditions...which very well would be a problem if not corrected (because these conditions would eventually harm your plants).

However,  there are times when it's  just the older leaves at the bottom of the plant that are turning yellow...which could be just part of the natural cycle of the older leaves giving way to the younger, newer growth ...in that case, this would not be a problem.

    Good luck!!!   Hope this helps.

  3. the yellow leaved ones may need more sunlight

sounds like photosynthesis needs to take place

  4. Yellow leaves may indicate that the water you are using to water your plants may have too much salt in it. I would suggest using purified water or fridge water.
