Some of the greatest undersized players in the NBA – Part 2
Ty Lawson, Denver Nuggets
Another one of the players who is only in his second season in the NBA is Ty Lawson of the Denver Nuggets. Ty Lawson is among some of the smallest power forwards that the NBA world has seen standing at 5 feet and 11 inches.
However, in his case size doesn’t matter as he is alongside some of the most productive players in the NBA even though he spends a limited amount of time on court. He is expected to get even better with the passage of time and the productivity is expected
to increase even further.
Though there are a lot of speculations that Carmelo Anthony might leave the Nuggets at the end of the season if not by the trade deadline this time then the Nuggets would surely lose their backbone. Nevertheless, the supporting cast will still be there.
If Carmelo leaves, a rebuilding process will start which will see Ty Lawson playing the key role in every game that Denver Nuggets play.
During the course of the current season, Ty Lawson has put up 11.1 points per game with 51% shooting, 2.2 rebounds per game, 4 assists per game and 0.7 steals per game playing in 24 minutes per game. The points per game are surely to increase as Lawson gains
experience and becomes used to the traditions in the NBA.
Aaron Brooks, Houston Rockets
Aaron Brooks is another one of the undersized players of the Houston Rockets in the list. Aaron Brooks was quite impressive during the first few seasons of his career in the NBA. However, this season hasn’t seen the best out of him as he has come across
a lot of injuries on a regular basis.
Last season turned out to be the best season of his career so far in the NBA. Aaron Brooks played alongside some of the best players in the Houston Rockets as a starter which saw him drastically improve on his productivity compared to the previous few seasons.
During the course of the last season, Aaron Brooks maintained an average of 19.6 games per game, made 5.6 assists per game, 0.8 steals per game and was the highest three pointers scoring player with 2.5 three pointers per game.
His consistency and productivity during the last season saw him winning the award for being the most improved player in the league. Aaron Brooks is currently in his fourth season in the NBA and has already caught the eyes of many around the world. This amazingly
talented player is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs around 161 pounds.
Aaron Brooks is without any doubts one of the best undersized players in the league and is sure to climb up the list if he keeps on bagging the performances that he has done so far. As for now, he needs to concentrate on his ankle and how to recover from
it as it is creating a lot of problems for him.
Houston Rockets don’t entirely depend on him but there is quite a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. He surely has the potential to meet the expectation and has done in the past. Once he gets fully fit expect him to dominate games once again.
