Some of the underrated power forwards in the NHL – part 2
Continuing with the list of some of the power forwards in the NHL who are underrated, we have Troy Brouwer up next.
Troy Brouwer, Chicago Blackhawks
Though Troy Brouwer wasn’t given as much credit as he deserved for the important role he played during the course of the last season as Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup. His consistent contributions to the time though weren’t a lot but still were very
important.
He made assists and scored goals which turned around the out-come of the matches. His productive partnership with players like Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews proved to be the thing that separated the Blackhawks from all the other teams during the play-offs.
Brouwer is one of the talented men in the NHL and his performances game after game intensified coupled with the toughness he had on display.
At the start of this season, he wasn’t able to continue on the same roads as the last one. Starting off slow he caught pace as the season moved on. This wasn’t entirely his fault as this was generally the case with all of the Hawks team who started off the
season no way near like the last season. At one stage it looked as if they wouldn’t even make it into the play-offs but they clicked just at the right time.
As Hawks caught pace, so did Brouwer which resulted in some decent performances bagged by the player and the team on a whole. He is expected to play an important role in the Hawks campaign this season too and if the Hawks are looking to win the Cup this
time again then they surely needs Brouwer to get to his best as soon as possible.
Jeff Carter, Philadelphia Flyers
Jeff Carter is one of the players of whom you expected a lot of talks during the course of the season. He has proved his worth with a lot of dominating and productive performances game after game. However, he still isn’t given the amount of recognition and
praise that he deserves after all the hard work he puts in.
Jeff Carter isn’t a new player in the Philadelphia Flyers roster he has been there for quite some time now. He has also made his presence felt scoring a lot of goals and has been involved in some brilliant plays throughout his time spent with the Flyers
up till now.
Jeff Carter wasn’t in the All-Star game this time but many of you would agree to the fact that he is one player who surely deserved a spot in one of the teams for sure. He has shown great deal of talent and toughness throughout the time he has spent here
playing in one of the series even though he had a separated shoulder.
Not only this, he had an amazing 2008 season with the Flyers during which this productive players bagged 46 goals and was among some of the best. His game changing performances still continue and he still is among some of the top goal scorers in the NHL.
He is among the top ten goal scorers in the league and also in the top ten for scoring the winning goals.
