I'm writing a story and I was just wondering the basics of English.

for example: He was walking on a small narrow path.

would it be like that or would it have a comma at the end of small?

He was walking on a small, narrow path.

thanks!

  1. do you take a little breath in between small and narrow when you read it out loud? if so, the comma is the right thing to do.

  2. ...dang! you got me...i would just leave it out.

"better to make a mistake by missing something than adding something you dont need" quoted by me two seconds ago.

  3. A comma would be optional. (That means you can put one or not and still be correct.)

    Additional details: Good thinking!
