  1. nah, only germans do that.

  2. No, but it will make you sick faster. ;-)

  3. thousand & Brian are on the right track to the answers.

It does but only slightly with a warm beer.

Yes it does. But the temperature (warm-60-75 F) is not going to make a massive difference in the absorption rate of warm beer. Yet it is absorbed into the blood stream faster than a cold beer. A good example is given above about consuming warm-hot beer (sake) Vs cold.

The same is true for distilled beverages as well.

It has to do with blood vessel dilation and adsorption rate.

  4. Temperature doesn't count - it's the amount of alcohol that effects you!

Does drinking through a straw get you drunk faster? Of course not!

    .

  5. If you drink while you're flying on a plane you get drunk faster (cabin pressure, etc), so they say. Magnifies what you're drinking about 3 times.

Warm SAKE gets you drunk faster than cold sake, which is one reason why some warm it in a microwave before drinking it. It goes through your blood faster in that state. But warm beer? Not to my knowledge.

  6. There -might- be some mechanism where alcohol is absorbed into the bloodstream faster depending on temperature, BUT drinking another beer is going to have way more of an impact. Switching to vodka would be faster still.

  7. No.
