Some people have more than one account here, what is the reason for this?

I just read a question if people have more than one account here and some people answered they have 2 or more. What are the benefits of having more than one account? If you have more than one, why?

Some people do have other accounts for backup. Most of them have more than one account so they can choose their own answers as best answer. It is called point gaming and is against the guidelines.  You get caught and all of your accounts are deleted.  Hope this helps!!!

I have 2 accounts on Yahoo! Answers, and I use both.

However, this is the account I use most of the time.

You see, I answer in different categories, and I also have this devilish Top Contributor badge under my avatar, which also attracts the trolls....so they gang up on me and report me.

I previously had my 15, 068 Points +Top Contributor for 2 categories account deleted.

The same thing might happen to this one, and I am so used to having no limitations....so, if this one gets deleted, I don't want to start over from level 1 again.

So, I will switch to my Level 4 Back-Up account if this one gets deleted as well.

Having multiple accounts is fine, but they should not be used for cheating or reporting someone.

I rarely use my back-up account though....but I do have one.

You can be a good and non-cheating user while having multiple accounts.

However, some users always say that the users who have multiple accounts always cheat.

That is not the case.

Some for back up and some for each section.

Also, many have more than one so they can cheat.
