  1. Most, but not all; thats why we have coal.    Its a stop gap feel good idea that does no harm, but not much good either except if it blocks a house from direct sunlight so it doesn't need to use an air conditioner or something.

  2. What si the qsn

  3. However, this question is phrased under the assumption that just one tree will suck up the excess carbon dioxide like a vacuum. It takes many more trees, and they're not going to die at once.

  4. You have to keep in mind the rest of the carbon cycle!

Cellular photosynthesis and respiration are major parts of it.

With photosynthesis, the plant takes in Carbon Dioxide, one of the most prominent contributers to global warming, and during respiration, the plant "breathes out" oxygen.

Yes, the carbon is released into the atmosphere when the tree dies, but in the long run, planting the tree is more beneficial to the earth than not planting it in the first place.

It made sense in my head!

  5. If it is burned, then more would be made, but if the tree just dies it has already used what it absorbed and that is not released. Its like saying, if you die, does all the food you ever ate suddenly come back? Some does, but not all.

  6. yes, yes, yes. so cutting it and evetnually burning it causes more release of its carbon

  7. Yes.  The carbon is released in the form of CO2 when it burns or decomposes.  When alive they store the carbon and release the oxygen for us to breath.  So it's good to plant trees, but it doesn't hurt the ecosystem when they die.

And just for the record, CO2 is only 0.28% of the greenhouse layer and so has no effect on warming the planet.  The disinformation out there is appalling.  What are they teaching in school these days?
