Also, do they accept US Dollars there or should i exchange some money before going there?

I know its a lot of qs but any help is greatly appreciated.

  1. Temperature should be bewtween 70 and 95 °F,

Czech people are very friendly to foreigners, cause they want to build up a touristic industry.

US Dollars are accepted in tourist areas, however some small shops in villages will only accept Euros.

Further information can be found in the following link:

  2. When you go to Czech republic the money to use is the Czech Coruna, (the local money,) but the easiest way to get them is by using your bank card in an ATM.

Check with your bank that your card is ready for use abroad and what each use will cost.

You can use your credit card (if you have one) in hotels and for some higher payments, but not for everything. But when you can it is likely to be the cheapest way to get use your money. But using your credit card in an ATM is mostly way more expensive.

Do take some dollars as back-up, for when your card fails or you can not find an ATM (but those are everywhere) as you can still use them when you get back home.

Do not bother with Euros, in Czech republic they will only take them at a rate that is poor for you.

Changing money is always going to cost you, changing cash is the most expensive way, as there is always an exchange fee and on top of that you get a poor rate. The places that do not charge an exchange fee will give an even poorer rate.

Taking cash is a bad idea, as you will be at risk for loosing it or being target of a pickpocket.

But you can change a small amount at a bank at home so you have some money with you before you start out and know what the money looks like.

Traveling as woman alone will not be a problem, as long as you keep your head with you.

Behave as you would in a big town near your home, like:

Do not go into the park at night, do not go home with people you do not know, do not flash big amounts of money or creditcards. And do not get drunk unless you are with people you can trust. (You might find some other girls traveling alone, but be careful about who you trust and how much.)

Weather in Czech republic in summer is mostly steady and nice, (often hot,) but there can be a cold spell too.

Take shorts (or skirts) and T-shirts or open tops for good weather but also bring jeans or alike and a sweater and a light windproof (rain proof) jacket.

  3. The weather is usually hot in August and July there.  You should exchange your US dollars for Czech Krones.  You'll be safe there.
