Some questions about Skype

Does Skype cost money to do video chats? I need to talk to someone when they move to a different state than myself. How do I start a video chat? Can anyone help me with these questions and maybe add a couple more facts about it by any chance? Thanks!

Skype is always free when calling PC-to-PC.  It doesn't matter if you are using voice or video calling.  It is free to download and install:

I have been using Skype for PC-to-PC and PC-to-Landline voice calling for over 3 years now.  Of course, calls to landlines and cells in USA/Canada is 2.1¢ per min., or $3/month Unlimited calling to USA/Canada landlines/cells.  The latest version 3.8 has excellent voice quality and is better than ever.

I used it for Video chatting for the first time a few weeks ago, and that was lots of fun to be able to actually see the other person I was talking to.
