Some questions about The United States Marines....?

Okay I have just a few questions about Marines in general, Marine life, and Marine training.

Marines in general -

1) What are some of the most common jobs for a Marine to do?

(I'd really like to know of jobs that included wildlife and animals(dogs) )

2) What is the pay range for Marines?

Marine life -

1) How long is basic training?

2) What are the next steps after basic training and how long do they take? (approximately)

3) Where are some of the Marine bases in the United States of America?

Marine Training -

1) What would I need to do in order to prepare myself for basic training?

2) What is a good work out plan?

So, I know that was a lot of questions but if I don't ask questions how will I ever know if I want to be a Marine or not? Thank you if you did read the whole thing. If you have an website that would give me this info please post it. Thanks for all your answers!! :)

1. Infantry and combat related jobs are pretty popular

   b. you could be a mp (Military Police) and work with dogs  

2. any where from 1300 a month to like 6500 its very dependent on what rank you are and if you are an office or not. it starts out at 1300 a month for privates

  1. 3 months 13 weeks you can go to san deigo or parris island south carolina dependent on what side of the mississippi you live on.

2. mct (marine combat training ) like a month and then your job school. witch is dependent on what job you want

3. camp pendleton out of ocean side california and legune are to big ones. sorry bout the spelling on the camp names.

1. start a running program run around 1.5 half every day and gradualy get fast better put a few 3 miles runs in there when you feel confident. do push ups get some upper body strenght. do pull ups if you can you have to beable to do 2 to go to boot camp also 42 sit ups is required to go to boot camp so work on those and get a goal far past 42.

No common jobs that include animals or wildlife..The USMC is a fighting force...Some police jobs have a dog as their partner but its not a common job..Infantry, admin, and mechanics are the most common type jobs

boot camp is 13 weeks..then comes MCT wich is about 1 month then your school..average school time is 2 months..

Main USMC bases are Camp Pendleton, CA...29 Palms CA....Camp Lejeune, NC....MCAS mirimar, CA....MCAS Cherry poinit, NC....MCAS Yuma, AZ,.. MCB Hawaii
