Question:

Some questions about hair...?

I have a couple of questions about chemically straightening your hair.

1. Is it permanent? If not, for how long will it stay like that?

2. What are the negative side effects of having it done. (I've never done anything to damage my hair before.)

Thank you in advance :)

  1. It's permanent.

    kinda hard to explain...

But every once in a while, you will have to relax the "new growth"...like the new hair? you will have relax the new hair [only] eventually. [Think of bleaching your roots.]

    Negative side effects?

I don't know if this is negative, but you will have to baby your hair. Like less heat for example...

  2. i heard that i lasts about 3 months, maybe a little longer. but it's so damaging. think about the damage that's done to your hair by using a straightener and multiply it by 10... so that's pretty bad. you're probably just better off getting a nice, non damaging ceramic straightener.

  3. it is just like a perm except the opposite i think it lasts about 6 months or so and it damages your hair if you do it tons. i've always wanted to do it but figured straightening with a flat iron would be just as easy
