  1. i know exactly how you feel. the only thing that helped me was medication. i know thats really embarrassing and all but its better than having your life taken over by this disease. it's just not something you can fix on your own, you need help. good luck!

  2. Yeah, if you'd like to get rid of it try this book

The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook by Dr. Bourne. It's on Amazon.com.

  3. i've had ocd since i was 10, having to compulsively pray for forgiveness for every "sin", imagined or otherwise.  and on top of that the rituals i have to perform so "bad things" won't happen.  and doing something this many times or that many times to stop the madness in my own head.  i've found my compulsions come on stronger at night too, and i think it's because during the day we have so many things that occupy our time.  but at night we just want to relax but our minds won't let us because we don't have other things to worry about or do.  and the more tired i am the stronger the "need" to do them, because it's harder to fight them when your tired and want to just relax

  4. If it's really stressing you out (like it sounds like it is!) then you should probably go to your doctor, honey.

It's really hard to deal with.

I believe I have mild OCD. I have got better but it's still there when I get stressed sometimes and I find it happens more before I go to bed, too.

I used to have rituals with brushing my teeth, etc. Sucks.

I really hope it gets better for you.

I hate it when people say 'everyone has OCD tendencies'. Yes, but some are more stressful than others, y'know.

    Good luck x
