Some recommendations?

when installing an air conditioner unit, whats a good way to secure the window. the window unit is two panes and slides open to the left. after i put the unit in, above it will be open. what are some recommendations?

Fill in with plywood if it is to add support.If not then a piece of styrofoam.Tape any cracks up with duct tape.

i recommend a portable ac but since you bought one already try a pillow to cover or you could get a pvc from lowes or home depot to fit over the ac... take the sizes of the open space

also you could get air side panel
