  1. I doubt it's permanent damage, or else you'd be in severe pain. It's probably just temporary since it's only a little pressure. I got hit in the eye with a football once, and it hurt like h**l. The next day, it just felt a little swollen. Your eye is probably just swollen from the force of impact. HOWEVER, if the pressure in your eye doesn't go away within a week, go to your doctor because pressure goes down within a few days. If it lasts too long, it may actually indicate permanent damage.

  2. It's proberly a burst blood vessel behind your eye socket, ice and area and put an eye patch on it until it heals.

  3. If it's been two weeks and you are still having symptoms, you probably should get it checked out with an eye doctor.  Anytime there is trauma to the eye, there is risk of damage that you wouldn't be able to see.  I suggest you see an eye doctor soon.  Good luck.  :)

  4. Go see an optometrist as soon as possible.  A optometrist is an actual eye doctor and has the best tools for checking out damage to your eye (besides surgeons who actually cut you open to take a look, but don't worry about those guys right now).

Most people only see optometrist for prescription glasses, but just explain what happened and ask to be examined.  Also, the Opt. will probably have a good reference for you for a good MD or DO.

Also, it could be more than just damage to your eye.  The eyes connect straight into the brain.  Don't be afraid to go all out and insist that scan be done.  If you have insurance, get everything that is covered.  You only have one set of eyes.
