Some unique human activities that impact biogeochemical cycle?

What are some daily activities that humans do that impact the nitrogen, oxygen,phosphorus, sulfur, and water cycle.

I can't think of anything different such as; driving a car, washing your hair, etc..

  1. Well, breathing takes out the oxygen.

    But other than that, are you talking about *regular* activity?  Because there are always examples of factories.

    For daily a

    nitrogen: fertilizing lawns

    oxygen: breathing, aerosols that create/give off ozone

    phosphorus:  detergent - dishes, laundry

    sulfur - hmm, can't really think of one, maybe fertilizer again

    water cycle - swimming pool, sewage, hydroelectric stuff (like dams), any water you use throughout the day, etc.
