I'm really trying to look for new idea's. I've read the same answers over and over. My mom refuses to pay me. I kinda live in the project-like apartments and there are no lawns or yards. I basicly don't know anyone in my project-like neighborhood.

  1. Sometimes people in project like neighborhoods pay a lot more for food than they would a bit away from the projects. If you can get a way to go to a store and make a run, and buy something at a good price and sell it to people you know for less than they are paying, you can make a profit. Don't take ANY credit EVER.

Once you build up some $$ you can offer to buy things from people, and sell it back for 30% more in a couple of weeks. This gives them a loan, and gives you 60% on your money in a month. People in projects do that a lot, and it's a good business where people are a bit short of money. If they don't pay make sure the item you bought is something you can sell for even more than you would sell it back to them for. You have to know the value, not depend on those who you deal with.

That may not seem so great, but if you keep it out working for you and making 30% every 2 weeks that $100 will be worth 2329.81 in 6 months. $54,280.06 in a year. Then it gets much larger from there times about 543 every year you do it. after 2 years that $100 is $29,474,072.00... No longer chump change is it? Payday loan companies are doing it all over the place, as we speak. It's a heck of a business.

Don't get into anything illegal, it might seem like a good easy way to make money, but that nearly always ends badly and it's never worth it. You can make money in a legal way if you put your mind to it, and this is a good start, don't stop asking ever, keep getting information. Info is money.

  2. The main thing to consider is your safety. Be very careful when attempting to perform services or sell goods for money. There are alot of nuts out there. Make certain that your Mom is on board with what you are doing and who you are doing it for.

Your local library has a number of very good books that can help you. One title is called "Fast Cash for Kids" by Bonnie & Noel Drew. I suggest that you read it because you will get alot of very good information on running your own business.

There are many things that you can do and/or sell that don't require lawns or yards. You can perform in-house duties for the elderly or disabled. You can sell products that people want or need. You can shop for people who cannot shop for themselves. You may not be old enough to babysit but you are certainly old enough to conduct puppet shows or story hours for younger kids when supervised by your Mom or another parent. You might want to design your own t-shirts or other gift items with designs or photographs that you copyright. Perhaps you and your friends want to make and sell crafts or bake desserts that your parents can sell at their offices. There have been a number of home based businesses that have become successful corporations. You can have something like that if you are willing to put in the time and energy to making the business successful. Talk to other teens and tweens that work for themselves or their families. Ask your family, friends and neighbors what kinds of problems they have that you can solve. Don't let your age hold you back. Check out the group below called Junior Achievements. They are a for real organization and you'll get alot further than wasting your time with online scams that you are far too smart to fall for.

  3. Working online...there's such thing but most of them you have to pay to work.

For an 11 year old, I suggest this:

You can earn money and gifts by helping people out.
