Question:

Some where to get visual novels and can you recommend some?

i have watched loads of Aime and read loads of manga and i wanted to try out visual novels. i have tryed : A dream of summer and Narcissus

but i want some thing longer and more interactive i know 3 sites to down load them from: http://altogether.insani.org/2005/ well i guess what I'm asking is do you know where to get translated visual novels and can you recommend some?

  1. http://s**+.org/translate/ pretty much lists them all, there aren't too many which people have bothered to translate. Some translated are the free and generally short ones, others are the long, better and more expensive ones.

    I'd recommend CLANNAD but they've not released the patch yet, it can be brought from these websites: http://www.himeyashop.com/ and http://www.paletweb.com/ but I'd wait until they release the English patch first. It's a very good game with several paths and lots of different choices.

    I'd also recommend Utawarerumono which you can get from the same two websites. It's listed on the s**+.org list with the English patch for download there. It's a very good story but not very interactive.
