Some wooden sleds illegal??

i was sledding the other day and we have 1 of those old fashioned sleds the "flexible flyer" and my aunt overheard an adult making a coment on our sled saying someon could get hurt banging into the sled cuz it's hard, and another adult was like oh ya aren't those sleds illegal

Yes in some states they are...they can cause injury  - due to the sharp runners...The newer ones are faster and safer.

Technically it depends on where you live. In your town / city it may or may not be illegal. I'd find out before using one.

People can get knocked in the head if they crash their sleds at the bottom and the wooden sled comes their way. It could be serious.

they are not illegal and are worth a lot of money at antique shops if in good condition.
