1.i have a card... ominous fortune telling... and it says that i look at my opponents hand... and call monster, magic, or trap. what if i pick a spell card...does it count as magic? are they treated as they same?

2.when a monster with a flip effect is destroyed, does that activate the flip effect?(examples: man eater bug, spear cretin, cyber jar)

do htere flip effects come into effect?

3.i have marphing jar #2. its a flip effect and its effect says all cards are returned tot heir respective decks... if morphing jar is face down, and it attacked and destroyed, does that activate its flip effect? if so, does it go back to the deck or go to the graveyard.

lastly...................................

4.also, spear creten's effect is a flip, and says once its sent to the graveyard, u and your opponent each special summon one monster from your respective graveyards onto the field. can you just bring back spear creten again?

thx for all the help... all your answers will really help clear up (and improve) my game.

  1. 1.yes spells and magic are treated the same because when the game first starded they wanted to go with magic then they decided spell.

2.no they dont you have to flip the cards face up on your turn

  2. 1:Yes, Spell and Magic Cards are the same thing they just changed the name somwhere around ancient sancutary

2:Yes , Unless the card that destroyed it states that "flip effects are activated at this time"

3:It goes to the graveyard and all other cards return to deck

4:Yes unless it says "...except Spear Cretin..."

  3. 1. Magic and Spell are treated as the same.

2.If the monster was facedown before it was destroyed, possibly.

If the facedown monster was attacked, then it flips face up. hence activating it's affect, regardless of if it being destroyed or not.(unless said otherwise by an effect.)

If the facedown monster was destroyed by magic or trap (like nobleman of crossout.) it's affect does not activate. Due to it not flipping.(unless stated otherwise by an effect.)

    3. Yes, it activates it's affect. Morphing Jar will not go back to your deck.

    4. Yes.
