Somebody can teachme how to play pool, and give me the rules??

I love the pool, but I don´t know how to play.

There are a variety of games in pool.  The most common is 8 ball.  You play against an opponent and the balls are racked and one person breaks from behind the dot on one end of the table.  The first person to drop a ball gets to have what they call solids or stripes.  Solids are all one color and stripes are a stripe of color around white balls.  Then there is the 8 ball.  You do not want to put that one in the pocket unless it is on the break!  Then you win.  You have to get all of your colors in the pocket and then you have to put the 8 ball in last.  Most of the time they make you call the shot where the 8 ball is going into what pocket.  If you are playing in a professional game you would have to call all of your shots no slop.  To me the best way to learn how to shoot the shots is to study physics and geometry.  When you bank a shot into a pocket you can use triangles to see where the ball will go.  If you hit the ball high it will have top spin and low it will have back spin.  A hit on the center of the cue ball will be a straight shot.  Practice Practice Practice good luck!

Instructional videos are great for learning. The BCA (Billiard Congress of America) book has some basic instruction and has official rules for many billiard games. These are the rules played by most leagues and by pros.

Look up the instruction on the internet and teach yourself. Go to Wikipedia, YouTube, etc. OR just go to a pool hall and watch others shoot.
