  1. Sounds annoying, but it can be fixed!  I'd recommend you turn off System Restore (so infections are not restored), boot to Safe Mode (tap F8 as PC starts and select "Safe Mode" and scan with a few of the best spyware removal tools inc. Lavasoft Adaware & SpyBot S&D and also McAfee Stinger for trojan viruses.  There's a great guide that I base this advice on detailing a lot more and linking to the products at My Slow PC - http://www.MySlowPC.co.uk/ - just click on "Troubleshooting".  Let me know how you get on.....good luck!!

  2. download it Yahoo Toolbar for Internet Explorer  and Google toolbar Go to this website press here http://toolbar.google.com/T4/index_pack_...  and here http://toolbar.yahoo.com/ie?.cpdl=dyc Yahoo! Toolbar helps you:

Make the Web a safer place

Pop-Up Blocker stops pop-ups in their tracks, then inside Yahoo Toolbar download Yahoo Anti-Spy then scanner you computer then delete all joke and spyware in you computer thanks

  3. When you are online and you get a pop up that say something like,  "Your pc is infected, do a scan now",  If you click the scan button, it will install the virus.

Yes you do have a VIRUS.  Many people fall for this trick that crappy companies have to do in order for your to buy their virus scanner.  Never, NEVER buy the software that your pc will offer.

Go to www.download.com and download superantispyware.  It is free and it just may do the trick in getting rid of your problem.

The program may not entirely get rid of that bug.  It (digs deep) into your system and is very hard to get out.  I personally recommend just going to your local computer store to have them remove it.

P.S.  Not everyone on here is an expert.  You are way better off spending a few dollars to have a professional fix your pc, than risking your valuable data on your pc.

  4. its a virus ... do a full virus scan, avast! free home edition will do the job and spybot search & destroy, I had the same problem a few weeks ago and if it wasnt for those two i'd have gotten to the reformat stage as the registry was locked out too.
