Someone formatted my digital camera, can I get the pictures back?

Someone formatted my digital camera and I didn't know so I continued to take pictures when I got home I noticed they were all gone... my camera had pictures on there from my graduation and from our class party can someone peaseeeee help me I'm going away for the summer and there were pictures of me and my friends on there that i would love to get back HELPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Formatting the card on camera is not terminal, using the card after formatting and thus over-writing the memory card is unfortunatley.  Sorry it's not better news.

You should run a memory recovery programme asap to salvage anything that hasn't yet been over-written.

It's no problem at all to get them back. Please see this post for several free (no kidding) software that you can download.  You'll need to use a card reader with these programs though:
