I had a couple of friends over at my old house at one time and all of a sudden a piggy bank full of change was taking from me. A couple of days later after everyone found out I knew about it, one person gave me 20 dollars after it happened at a mall. Is that guilty or pity?

  1. i would say that the person was feeling pity because the guilty one wouldnt want to give themselves away...imo

  2. depends on the person. means that you aren't sure who did it...don't judge the nice one. The guilty one got away with no witnesses aparently...the one who gave you 20$ had to have felt bad for you, and guilty that a friend of theirs would do something so horrible to you. Try to just be happy with the $20 and look for other...change....being used by friends.

  3. taken from YOU or from the mall?

  4. The guilty one is a thief, and a thief would never give you $20.

I managed an office building for 25 years, and one morning I noticed that $50 was stolen from an envelope in my desk drawer. I called the cleaning service and told the supervisor that the money was taken, the door was locked and the cleaning people were the only ones with a key.

The next day, on my desk in an envelope was $50, with a note attached "....you should be more careful, I found this on the floor outside of the office."

But, a $50 bill was taken from my desk, and in the envelope was 2- $20 bills and a $10 bill.

The thief took the $50 bill, and the cleaning supervisor who didn't want to lose the account left the $$ on my desk with the note.

A thief will never give anything back...someone is covering for them.

  5. It depends. I would give my friend 20 dollars for two reasons.

    1. they needed the money

    2. that friend may feel like since everyone was at your house, everyone should chip into replace it.

You need to consider if the person that gave you the 20 would still from you. That's why you can't let everyone hang out in your house. Tell everyone that from know on, no one is to be inside your house. Eventually someone will either tell or give you an idea of who took the money.
