Someone gave some shotgun shells and i am wondering if they be a collectors item.?

they were put out by sears and roebuck company.dont know how old they are but i would guess in the sixtys.they are a ted williams signature sereis.i know they haven,t put sears and roebuck name stuff along time.i also have about thee qauters of a box of paper shotgun shells.the boxes are all in good shape

I have seen empty boxes sell for more than $100. I would keep them. If you like that kind of thing it dosent really matter what they are worth to anyone else. I have a pretty good sized collection..... I like them :)

The Ted Williams signature series is similar to the modern John Wayne signature series. They may be worth something to a Red Sox Fan, other than that you would have to do alot of research.

a collector would probably pay you about 2 new boxes of shells for your one almost full box of sears and roebuck, but other than that, there isn't a huge demand or value for such items

i could be wrong on this, but i don't think they have made paper shotgun shells for a very long time. At leats 40 years or possably more. They could even be from as far back as the civil war! If they are 50 years old or more they may have some value to a collector. And if they are over 100 years old they are deffinatly worth something. the ones from the 60's probobly arn't worth anything, wait another 20-30 years and they might though. the person above me is an idiot, as bullets and shotgun shells don't have serial numbers.

I would say you should hang on to them for a few more years. The ones from sears are gonna be worth a good penny in the future. Especially because sears hasnt had a sporting goods section for a long time. They will  be a collectors item someday.
