  1. It think the chord sounds best this way so just keep at it and you'll develop the strength to play it.

  2. bar it????? IDK

  3. Two ways to play this. First  barre all strings with your index. Play the G with your middle, the D with your pinky and the A with you ring. Or you can just barre the b and e with your index and play the others the same. Learn these. They can be used anywhere on the neck. Very basic chord form.

  4. e -x-|---|---|---|---|     bar e and B with your index finger....

    B -x-|---|---|---|---|

G ---|-x-|---|---|---|     ....play the G with your middle finger....

D ---|---|-x-|---|---|    ....and the D with your ring finger.

    A ---|---|---|---|---|

E ---|---|---|---|---|      Don't play the other two strings.

This is an open chord, whereas what you were playing before was a barre chord. Same pattern, just leave off those two strings!

Otherwise, you could use a power chord, which would be:

    e ---|---|---|---|---|

    B ---|---|---|---|---|

    G ---|---|---|---|---|

    D ---|---|---|---|---|

    A ---|---|-x-|---|---|   = ring finger

E -x-|---|---|---|---|   = index finger (other four strings aren't played)

but, usually, the open one is gonna sound better.

    Hope it helps! =]

  5. Easiest thing to do is just fret the first four (lightest) strings, you can strum 4 or 5. Use your index finger for the first two then you can use your next two fingers for the next two strings - that way you'll have strong fingers on all the frets. You'll get the hang of the other way soon enough, this is a good way to play the chord.
