  1. No, you're right. These words are called adjectives and -er and -est describe degrees of the adjective. Sometimes you could say "more + word" or "most + word" but the majority sound better with the suffixes -er and -est.

  2. you don't use the s at the end

  3. ask yourself, what will you achieve if you add "s"?

    :P

is it required by any grammar rule?

have you seen such word in any text?

if no, then why do you make your life harder than it is?

    :D

  4. fast - faster - fastest; strong - stronger - strongest

maybe your friend thought fastest is spelled fasters bcs it sounds similar

  5. Definitely, no "s" at the end of comparative adjectives!

If your friend is a Spanish speaker, this may be the reason for the confusion, since in Spanish you would add the "s" to those adjectives.

  6. The endings  of adjectives in English NEVER change to either feminine or plural.

-er denotes an an adjective in the comparative mode (more than): better, stronger, larger etc...

-est denotes an adjective  in the superlative mode (the most): largest, greatest, biggest etc...

so one does not add an "s" for the plural.

You are correct and your friend is mistaken.

  7. no u don t put "s" on the end of those word.. just use strongest and fastest!
