Someone help me with my mac?!?!?

first off, please do not give me information on PC's, as i have a MAC. NOT A PC. i have the sims 2 game for my mac laptop, and i have installed it and played it successfully once. but after when i tried to open the program, the icon bounced then a window popped up telling me that i need to free 1 megabyte of space. i have tried over and over to delete things and empty the trash, but its not working. what do i do?

It means the program is already running ,1 click on program then click on apple icon and go to Force to quit, start the program again from application ,you can also drag it from there to your Dock,,but it can not run simultaneously  ,I hope I was clear.
