  1. This is very standard.  They need to verify the accident with her before they can agree to pay for your damages.

    If there are witnesses or a police report, it will help if she tries to deny if ever happened.  Hopefully, she's an honest woman.

  2. you should also contact your insurance company

    let them deal with it

  3. Pretty standard, that will give her a few days to report it to her insurance and tell them what happened, or decide to pay you out of pocket to keep it off her insurance.

    Once you call her and talk to her directly, you will have some feel as to what she will do and how reasonable she will be.

    You should also call your own insurance company just to make a report on it in case you need their help with anything.

  4. This is pretty standard.  Ideally the lady should report the claim to her insurance and they should contact you but you took that step for her.  They need to verify your story with her before they will make any sort of committment to you about paying the claim.  If they call her and tell her what you said and she lies and claims she wasn't ever there or something they may come back and say she says it wasn't her we're not paying or if she confirms it was her fault they'll probably send an adjuster out to write and estimate and send you a check.  The two days is probably just to give them time to try to get a hold of her.  They are just setting reasonable expectations with you.  I would wait to see if they say they will pay.  If not and you have collision coverage on y our policy then report it to your insurance, they will pay you less your deductible and then try to get the money back from her.  If you don't have collision, you can always file a small claims action against her if needed.

  5. You did the right thing.  As soon as her insurance company accepts liability, they will send an adjustor out to handle your claim.  That is IF they accept liability.
