  1. it's true....they kill bacteria

  2. Most animals do l**k their wounds, and people could too if they wanted.  Saliva has antibodies in it, and the l*****g serves to clean the wound.  Generally, you're immune to the bacteria in your mouth.

    DK

  3. no....its very germy. I think its okay if they .l**k there own..but you could get an infection.

  4.   He can't have too much medical knowledge.

Of course if the wound was contaminated with some deadly pathogens the dog's tongue may be less pathogenic.

  5. When I was a boy my dog used to l**k grazed knees etc and I never had any infections.

Now older and wiser I wouldn't allow it. Just look at all the grotty places dogs get their tongues!

  6. You mean a wound on the dog? It wouldn't do any harm, and the saliva would help start the healing process. The same thing happens when you have a wound in your mouth: the saliva starts to heal it.

If it is a wound on a human, I wouldn't recommend it, but I'm not a doctor.

  7. a dogs spittal is sterile, so it is good except if he has just been l*****g his bum, lol

  8. Sounds like bs to me.

Why the heck are vets putting those dumb cones on dogs heads anyway?
