Someone in my league just dropped V-Mart Should i pick him up?

No,he has been injury-prone this year and when he is playing,has yet to homer.Your better off with Martin.

If your DL is empty,and if you won't move down the  waiver priority list,he's not a bad DL stash..Why have an empty DL anyway?I have Chris Carpenter on mine,,,just in case he is productive when he comes back..The major downside to picking up someone DL bound is that you have to drop a player initially before you are allowed to add him..

yes, pick him up. You already have Russel Martin, but Martinez when he gets back should be much more productive than he has been so far. He's was the best fantasy catcher last year so it's definitely possible for him to turn around, if his health allows him. These people who say VMart sucks have no knowledge of fantasy whatsoever. Stash VMart in your DL slot and in 8 weeks you might be getting a big time reward.
